FAST AND FURIOUS. Our most tested and advanced board to date. We have tried different materials, designs, bends and curves. Took input from riders of all skill levels and developed a board that will leave you living a life downhill.
The Torpedo is a board designed to go fast. It combines the control of a top mount with the locked in feel of a drop deck. To achieve this we learned to bend bamboo in 3 dimensions.
For the center of the deck we tested many different levels of rocker. We liked the “locked in” feel that it brought to the table. However, we learned with more rocker comes less leverage. In the end we decided to add just a touch. To maximize the control, we kept the mounting area of the Torpedo flat. This combination increases stability while maintaining the leverage and control of a traditional top mount. You can also wedge or de-wedge at your own discretion.

At this point the deck was taking shape, but still lacked the edge we were looking for. In order to bring the Torpedo to the next level, we added molded in wheel wells, front and rear. This added some flare to the concave in just the right spots. Under your toes, they mold your feet deep into the deck locking you in for pre drifts and providing more control for cornering.
The wheelbase options might be one of the best things about the Torpedo. We’ve designed it so you can hit every ¼” increment between 27.5” – 29.25”. That’s a total of 6 different wheelbase options for a variety of hills.
The shape has been the most fun aspect of the design. Something about the beefy Torpedo brings you confidence and peace of mind when bombing downhill 55mph, 4 inches off the asphalt. While the outline is not symmetrical, the molded in wheel wells and shape position your feet symmetrically about the platform in relation to the trucks. The board will respond the same in both directions giving you ultimate control.
The recommended set-up is with 180mm trucks & 70mm wheels. For a downhill ride, grab a softer, square lipped wheel such as the 4Prez or ZigZags. If you’re wanting a solid freeride setup look for a round lipped wheel like the Stimulus. To get some extra roll out of your push look into the Super Reds bearings. Bearing spacers will help keep your wheels rolling true and relieve unnecessary stress from the bearing. This will keep them rolling smoother and longer.
