A true "all around" board, this Bamboo/Fiberglass composite is pressed into dual contours to provide maximum energy and liveliness. The drop thru design provides a lower center of gravity for more stability, easier pushing, and easier sliding. The concave keeps you locked in during big stand up slides and the flaired nose and tail allow for easy shuv-its, manuals, and g-turns. The 28" EFP, or effective foot platform, accomadates a wider stance and provides enough room for dancing steezability. The board features aluminium drop thru mounting plates. The plates distribute your weight evenly throughout the truck for a more responsive ride. The rubber "padding" on the deck side of the plate serves as a shock absorber for the road vibrations. The Eel is drilled with 6-holes to fit both the new and old school bolt patterns. Top it off with our sublimated, highly durable, fiberglass sealed graphic. Yes, it'll last forever! All boards come gripped with clear Mini Logo grip tape. Whether your carving, sliding, dancing, downhill, or cruising round town, this board will conquer the challenge.
The recommended set-up is with 180mm trucks & 75mm wheels.

Overall Ride and Performance
The BC Eel is a super lightweight, lively deck that provides an energetic ride for almost any genre of riding. Although the Eel is freeride oriented with a large, wide platform with substantial concave, I have failed to find style of riding that the Eel can’t conform to. Both the drop-through truck pattern and the perfect amount of concave allows for medium down hill (~40-45 mph) and smooth, locked in slides. However, the flex, ample footspace and flared nose and tail allow for great carving, dancing and technical tricks. Since I have gotten my Eel, the rest of my quiver has been easy to neglect (check the classifieds for my old dancer, speedboard, carver and slider).
Flex
The BC Eel comes in 2 flex options: the fat free for riders weighing approximately 150 pounds, and the boss level for riders exceeding 170 pounds. The beauty of BC lies in their impeccable customer service and flexible customization options, so if you’re looking for a flex that doesn’t match these specifications, the BC team can most likely work with you to zero in on the exact flex you desire. The Eel is also pressed with mild camber to account for flex and maintain rebound potential. I weigh a meager 135 pounds and the Eel has a subtle yet snappy flex that is truly felt when carving and pumping but seems to disappear when freeriding and downhilling. It’s hard to find a board with deep concave and lively flex like that of a BC Eel.
Platform and Nose
The BC Eel fulfills the perfect equilibrium of concave: enough to keep your feet locked in for sliding and speeding, but not so much that it hinders pushing, dancing or tech tricks. The platform of the eel provides generous space for dancing and accommodates a wide stance such as my own. The nose and tail offer excellent leverage for shuvits, big spins, manuals, G-Turns and whatever else you’re ready to learn. I struggled with big spins on my previous board for hours and within 15 minutes of trying them on the Eel I got rapidly more consistent.
Shape
The BC Eel’s shape lends itself perfectly to its versatility. The cutouts allow complete peace of mind against wheel bite and are great for hard carving, dancing etc.
Graphics
We all know that graphics don’t make the board but it’s still fun to have an aethetically pleasing design on your board. BC is great because you can upload an image to them and they can put it on a board for you. Just imagine being able to get anything you want on the bottom of your board. The guys at BC have a lot of experience with graphic design and they will work with you to perfect your graphic. When I sent them a simple graphic, they responded with an amazing version including my name, signature and cool background. If you’d rather not wait, the Eel has 2 standard graphics and is also available in the always classy natural bamboo.
